BUCKHORN HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIP

2024-2025

PURPOSE:

To provide $500.00 financial support to an applicant to pursue a degree at any accredited college or university.

ELIGIBILITY:

To be eligible for this scholarship, the applicant must:

 Be a graduating senior enrolled in any accredited high school during the 2024-2025 school year

 Have successfully completed 75 hours of Community Service

 Have a 3.0 or higher unweighted GPA

 Be a current resident in the ‘Buckhorn’ subdivision

 Have one letter of recommendation (non-family member)

 Parents/Guardians must have paid HOA 2024/2025 annual dues

HOW TO APPLY:

Applications are available from your college career counselor at your school or at our website:

The applicant must:

 Complete the attached Application Form

 Write a 500-word essay describing their future career plans (double spaced)

 Include a copy of Permanent Record Summary/History of Grades (see Guidance Counselor)

 Copy of photo ID showing home address must be included

 Include a completed copy of Community Service Verification Form

 Include one letter of recommendation (non-family member)

Completed applications must be submitted along with the required attachments to your College Career Counselor for Public Schools by March 24, 2025.

SELECTION PROCESS: The winner of this scholarship will be announced in April 2025. Funds will be paid directly to the student.
